1. Initiating the Privacy Policy

Welcome to Glinda Mobile (hereinafter 'Glinda Mobile' or 'Company' or 'We').
‘We’ provide a platform designed to not only scan the real world and edit digitized 3D content, but also to combine objects in the scanned space or share and communicate with other members.
Glinda Mobile strictly complies with domestic personal information protection laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act, starting from planning this service to its termination.
For this, our ‘Company' requires user information, and the collected personal information is thoroughly protected in compliance with international standards such as the OECD's personal information protection guidelines.

This privacy policy has been prepared to provide a general and easy understanding of the measures we take to protect personal information shared by ‘Members’ with the ‘Company’.
When using this service, please also refer to the Terms of Service that constitute the contract between the ‘Member’ and the ‘Company’.

2. Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to all personal information collected related to the company's services, regardless of country or region.

  • 1) Target Services and Service Providers
  • The ‘Company’ may apply additional provisions (collectively, 'individual policies') to individual privacy policies, terms of use, or this policy for specific services.
    The individual policy describes what personal information the company collects, how to use and provide it for that specific service, and other policies that apply to that specific service.
    Moreover, if there is a contradiction between the individual policy and the contents of this policy, the individual policy takes precedence.

    Regarding the application of this policy, ‘we’ become the personal information handling manager.
  • 2) Target country and region
  • The ‘Company’ handles personal information in accordance with this policy to the extent permitted by applicable laws and only to the extent described in this policy.
    Meanwhile, the ‘Company’ may provide this policy in multiple languages, but to the extent permitted by applicable law, the Korean version applies to Korean customers, and the English version applies to other countries or regions.

3. Collecting Personal Information

The ‘Company’ collects the following types of personal information for providing the ‘Service’.

  • 1) Personal information collected from customers
  • (1) Information related to creating accounts
    • The ‘Service’ can be used only when a ‘Member’ registers for the service or creates an account in advance.
      You may need to sign up directly by email or have a supported external single sign-on account.
      In this case, the personal information we collect is determined by the external account selected by the ‘Member’, the privacy policy of the external service, and the extent to which you allow access for the Glinda Mobile Service by your personal information settings within the external service.
    • If a ‘Member’ chooses to link their Apple account with this service, we will use the member’s email address registered in the member's Apple ID account, or in case of when the ‘Member’ uses the 'hide my email' option provided by Apple, we collect the private forwarding email address.
    • When a ‘Member’ chooses to link their Google account with this service, we collect the member's Google email address and an authentication token provided by Google.
    • When a ‘Member’ chooses to link their Kakao account with this service, we collect the user ID of the ‘Member’ registered in the member's Kakao account, and if the ‘Member’ allows it, the member’s email address registered on Kakao.
  • (2) Required Information for Communication with Members
    • When a ‘Member’ uses a specific ‘Service’ such as service inquiry or user report, we request, collect and preserve necessary information according to its nature.
    • Example 1) In relation to Customer Service requests or questions sent from the ‘Member’ to the company, the ‘Company’ may request the member’s contact information such as his/her phone number or email address, identification of the specific situation of the problem or of the issue, and information necessary to solve the problem.
    • Example 2) When a ‘Member’ participates in a survey or event within the service, we may request information necessary to verify the member’s identity or for delivering lottery/product, such as name, address, phone number, email address, gender, and date of birth.
    • In order to provide updates and news to ‘Members’ in-game or through email, the member’s email address and device information are used.
      ‘Members’ can opt out of receiving them at any time, in the device settings or in-app settings.
  • (3) Information about Profile, Community Relationships, and etc.
    • When a ‘Member’ uses the ‘Service’, information of the profile set by the ‘Member’ and the social relationship of the ‘Member’ is collected.
    • Profile information: In the profile information, there is the profile that a ‘Member’ sets up and shows to form a relationship with another ‘Member’, and includes information such as profile image, status message, and ID for search.
      Profile information is made public and can be viewed by other ‘Members’ or third parties such as business operators who run official accounts.
      The ID for search is an identification name set in the account by the ‘Member’, to easily find a specific ‘Member’ in the ‘Company’ or ‘Service’.
      A friend of the ‘Member’ can find the ‘Member’ by searching his/her ID on the User ID tab from the ‘Search’ Menu.
  • 2) Personal Information Collected Using the Service
  • (1) Service use tracks and activity history
    • The ‘Company’ automatically collects when and how ‘Members’ used the service.
      The information collected includes the date and time the ‘Member’ started using the application, the time of using the ‘Service’, content viewed or tapped on, and the usage status of all functions, such as content search results.
  • (2) Posting content and reaction to the post
    • When the ‘Member’ posts on the service, atypical content, such as 3D content and text, and structured content, such as location information, are all posted via the ‘Company’ server.
      At this time, external information related to the post, such as the subject of posted content, data format, and date and time of posting, is also recorded on the server.
      URL information tapped on or visited through the ‘Service’ is also recorded on the server.
      And when a ‘Member’ shares a specific model, the same information is recorded because it goes through the ‘Company’ server.
    • Information related to 3D content that is not posted or shared by the ‘Member’ is not collected by the ‘Company’.
    • In addition, when sending a response or comment to another ‘Member’, the ‘Company’ collects and uses how the ‘Member’ responded to the 'posts' of other ‘Members’.
      It includes information about the type or date of the action taken in that situation, such as which posts the ‘Member’ read, whether the ‘Member’ left a ‘like’ action, or whether the ‘Member’ wrote a comment.
  • (3) Location Information
    • - If a ‘Member’ chooses to use location information when scanning an object or space, the ‘Company’ may collect location information from scans to provide optimized search results to ‘Members’.
      The location information of content that is not posted by the ‘Member’ is not collected by the ‘Company’ and is not shared with other ‘Members’.
      The location information data is created with the location coordinates of the area where the scan was created.
      In the case of Korea, the default location unit is shown as ‘oo-Dong’.
      When searching for content, this is used to show content located in only a specific area as a location-related search result.
  • (4) Application, Device and Network Information
    • The ‘Company’ refers to the device and application information used by the ‘Member’ (cookie ID, type of device, OS, language & time zone setting, browser type, application version, etc.) or network information (IP address, etc.).

4. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The ‘Company’ uses personal information for the following purposes.
ㆍ Provision and maintenance of ‘Services’
ㆍ Development and improvement of ‘Service’ content
ㆍ Prevention of illegal use
The ‘Company’ uses personal information to help research and development to provide better and more reliable services to ‘Members’, or to provide relevant services to customers.
The ‘Company’ will not use the personal information acquired by the ‘Company’ in a way other than the scope of the purpose of use, except when receiving consent of the ‘Member’ or when it is permitted by applicable laws.
In addition, the ‘Company’ will take appropriate measures to prevent personal information from being used for any other purposes.
The specific uses of personal information are as follows.

  • 1) Provision and Maintenance of Services
  • The ‘Company’ uses the necessary information to provide services requested by users or to respond to inquiries.
    For example, in the following cases, the ‘Company’ uses personal information to provide and maintain services.
    • Set up and show profiles to form or manage relationships between ‘Members’, or search for other ‘Members’ using registered profile information.
    • The ‘Company’ investigates the member’s service use tracks and activity history in order to answer the inquiries made by the ‘Member’ to the service support.
    • Deliver important notices about the company's ‘Service’, such as when the ‘Service’ agreement has been amended, a ‘Service’ plan has been stopped, or a function has been changed.
  • 2) Development and Improvement of Service Contents
  • The ‘Company’ uses personal information for the development and improvement of services in order to provide better experiences and better content to ‘Members’.
    For example, in the following cases, the ‘Company’ uses personal information for the development and improvement of services or contents.
    • Improve ‘Service’ by creating statistics or models on ‘Service’ use of ‘Members’
    • Identify the frequency of use of each tab or specific function within the application, and improve usability and screen design.
    • Conduct a survey on the company's ‘Services’ currently being provided or planning to be provided in the future.
  • 3) Prevention of Security Risks and Illegal Use
  • The ‘Company’ maintains an environment in which the service can be used at any time, and the ‘Company’ promotes measures for security risks or illegal use related to personal information, so that ‘Members’ can safely use the service every day.
    For example, in the following cases, the ‘Company’ uses personal information to prevent security risks or illegal use.
    • Always check for illegal use by ‘Members’, such as violation of the Terms of Service, illegal acts, and prohibited access.
    • Individual ‘Members’ can also report to the ‘Company’ immediately when they find inappropriate content in the community.
    • Frequently monitor and check detailed information regarding the posting of prohibited content that violates the guidelines, and if it is determined that the content is inappropriate, delete the relevant ‘post’ and take appropriate action for the ‘Member’ who posted it.
    • In case of illegal use or if there is a possibility of illegal use, check facts with the ‘Member’ or contact the ‘Member’.

5. Provision of Personal Information

The ‘Company’ does not provide, disclose or share personal information to third parties except when receiving consent from the ‘Member’ or when permitted by applicable laws.

  • 1) Disclosure by oneself
  • Profile information registered by the ‘Member’ is treated as public information.
    In addition, for 3D content created by a ‘Member’ when posting, 'posts' including detailed descriptions or tags, and 'like' actions or comments on other ‘Members’ 'posts', it may vary depending on the posting target, but in case the post is open to the public, third parties may view it.
    When posting to the ‘Service’, the ‘Member’ must be careful about the content and the scope of its disclosure.

6. Safety Management of Personal Information

The ‘Company’ has strict technological security measures for the management of collected personal information.
In order to continuously improve the personal information protection of the ‘Company’, the ‘Company’ will regularly review and strengthen the internal guidelines and regulations of the ‘Company’ in accordance with changes in laws and social practices.

In principle, the ‘Company’ retains most of the ‘Member’ information unless the ‘Member’ applies for deletion of the ‘Service’ account.
If there is a request for membership withdrawal or account deletion from a ‘Member’, the Member’s information is deleted after holding it for a certain period of time in accordance with applicable laws and internal regulations.

7. Personal Information Retention Period

The ‘Company’ keeps personal information of ‘Members’ during the period of time necessary to provide the ‘Service’ to ‘Members’ and carry out the purpose of this Privacy Policy.
The same applies to the person with whom we share the information of the ‘Member’ and the person who performs the ‘Service’ on behalf of the ‘Company’.
When the ‘Company’ no longer needs to use the personal information of the ‘Member’ and there is no need to keep it to comply with the legal obligations, the personal information of the ‘Member’ is removed from the system or anonymized to not make an unnecessary influence on the ‘Member’.
When we remove personal information, we will apply reasonable and technologically possible measures to delete the personal information so that it cannot be recovered or duplicated.

8. Rights and Choices Related to Personal Information

‘Members’ have certain rights with respect to personal information.
Thus, they can make a request like the one below: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you by email to support@visualsyn.com
You can request deletion or correction of personal information.
The easiest way to change your account information is to use ‘My info’ > ‘My account management’ in the app.
You may also make a request by submitting a customer support request through the link here or by sending an email to support@visualsyn.com

9. Change of Privacy Policy

This policy may be changed at any time, and the most up-to-date privacy policy is always posted on the page you are viewing.
In case of important changes, we will notify the members of the amendment in an easy-to-understand way through notification within the service.
Please thoroughly check the contents of the latest personal information processing policy.

If a ‘Member’ does not agree to the changes and does not wish to use our ‘Service’ any longer, the ‘Member’ may withdraw the membership and delete the account.
The continued use of our ‘Services’ after any change has been notified or published on the ‘Service’ constitutes acceptance of the change and acceptance of this revised Policy.
In addition, if required by applicable law, we ask consent from the ‘Member’.
